Gordon Arata Attorneys Named New Orleans CityBusiness 2023 Leadership in Law Honorees

Gordon Arata announces that Members Marion W. Weinstock and Micah C. Zeno have been selected as 2023 Leadership in Law honorees by New Orleans CityBusiness. The list includes top legal professionals in New Orleans, including court associated, educators, firm associated, and in-house counsel, and recognizes individuals for their achievements in their career and involvement in the community. 

Marion W. Weinstock has been practicing law in Louisiana for over 35 years. As a Member of Gordon Arata’s Management Committee and Chair of the Commercial Transactions Section for the firm, she has worked on complex legal matters for clients in a wide range of industries, including energy, real estate, banking, chemical, industrial, and manufacturing, and construction. Marion is regularly recognized by her peers and industry organizations for her expertise and leadership in her practice areas. She was recently ranked by the prestigious Chambers USA in its 2023 Legal Guide among the top lawyers and firms across the country – a recognition she has received for nearly 10 years. Additionally, she has been named as a Super Lawyer and Best Lawyer for multiple years in various practice areas. In 2022, she was named New Orleans Lawyer of the Year for Commercial Transactions / UCC Law by The Best Lawyers in America. 

Locally, she was a New Orleans CityBusiness Woman of the Year honoree in 2019 and 2020 as well as a New Orleans Magazine Top Lawyer in Mortgage Banking Foreclosure Law. 

Micah C. Zeno has demonstrated his leadership and professionalism in the legal industry in the 8 years he has practiced law. As a civil litigator and trial attorney, Micah Zeno has worked with a wide range of clients in Louisiana. He has a broad legal practice that includes complex litigation, appellate practice, civil procedure, property law, commercial litigation, and risk management.  Micah has been recognized by multiple legal and professional organizations, including a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2023, Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in 2021, 2022, and 2023, Top 40 Under 40: Nation’s Best Advocates by the National Bar Association 2020-2021, and the 2019 Outstanding Young Lawyer of Louisiana by the Louisiana State Bar Association. Additionally, he was named one of six attorneys in the U.S. to receive the StepUp Pro Bono Challenge Award by the Federal Bar Association in 2020, and one of only nine attorneys to receive the award in 2021. 

Micah is deeply involved in the New Orleans community not only through his work with professional organizations such as the American Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, and Jefferson Bar Association, but in organizations of which he is personally passionate, including the Louis A Martinet Legal Society, and the Tulane University Law School Diversity Mentorship Program. Much of Micah’s community involvement focuses on youth in Louisiana and has spanned over many years.
