Gordon Arata Expands Its Business Transactions Practice with the Addition of Darryl Mazow as a Member in Its Houston Office

Gordon Arata is pleased to announce that Darryl Mazow has joined the firm as a Member in its Houston office. Darryl provides a diverse range of corporate and transactional legal services in support of family-owned and founder-owned companies and their owners and to private equity and debt investors serving the lower-middle market, offering seasoned business and strategic advice drawing on his 20+ years of experience in legal, business and corporate finance arenas during his career. Those hands-on experiences provide the underpinning for his ability to provide astute advice and tailored services to his clients. Sam Masur, a member of the firm’s management committee said, “Darryl brings a wealth of talent and seasoning to the firm. Our clients will be well served in part because of his prior in-house experiences. Before joining Gordon Arata, Darryl led Mazow PLLC from 2016 to 2022. He previously served as the director of transaction finance and head of lower middle market unitranche finance for CapitalSource Business Finance Group; founded Medusa Capital Partners, a private investment firm focused on control equity investments; and served as head of the corporate acquisitions group for Interwest Capital and an associate at Trivest Partners. In addition, Darryl served as CEO for a large contract manufacturer of snack foods with locations in California and Illinois and vice president of corporate development and acting general counsel for Pemco Aviation Group.

Darryl earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law and his B.S. in Marketing/Management and Finance from the American College of Switzerland.
