Michael Botnick and Peggy Welsh Named to New Orleans CityBusiness’ 2019 Leadership in Law

Gordon Arata Montgomery Barnett congratulates attorneys Michael Botnick and Peggy Welsh who were selected to the 2019 New Orleans CityBusiness Leadership in Law Class. Since 2005, CityBusiness has featured the Top 50 lawyers in the Greater New Orleans area based on their legal, professional and community contributions. This year’s Leadership in Law Class will be honored at a reception at the New Orleans Museum of Art on May 13th. A special section with this year’s honorees will be placed in the May 24th issues of New Orleans CityBusiness.

Michael Botnick is a member of the firm with more than 40 years of experience in commercial litigation and construction matters. His practice encompasses transactions, real estate, contracts, and corporate law, as well as trusts and estates. In the last 28 years, Michael has dedicated a hefty portion of his time practicing construction law and handling litigation cases involving disputes. Chambers USA states that Michael is noted for his construction litigation strengths on behalf of clients in the public and private sectors. Peers praise his pragmatic approach to disputes and his focus on reaching the best solution for clients, whether by a negotiated settlement or litigation.

Peggy Welsh is a member of the firm who focuses her practice in the areas of corporate, real estate, oil and gas, financing and securities transactions. She has participated in every stage of many high-profile and challenging corporate transactions, including the representation of several U.S. and foreign companies in international and domestic, private and public transactions and joint ventures. She advises numerous companies and organizations on general corporate matters, including entity formation, contract negotiations, corporate restructurings and general corporate governance matters.
