New Orleans, LA – The members at Gordon Arata are pleased to announce Omid Abaei has joined the firm as an associate in the Houston office. Abaei works with a diverse group of clients in litigation, including creditors’ rights, construction disputes, and contract claims. While based in Houston, he will also collaborate with attorneys in the firm’s New Orleans and Lafayette, LA offices.
“The expertise and professionalism of the attorneys and staff, caliber of the clients, and the work are what drew me to the firm,” says Abaei. “I am excited to begin contributing to the winning culture of Gordon Arata.”
Prior to Gordon Arata, Abaei clerked for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Anne T. Berton in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas and served as a summer clerk at the Texas Civil Rights Project where he focused his work on immigration law and voting rights.
Abaei attended The University of Texas School of Law where he served as Associate Editor of the Texas Journal on Civil Liberties and Civil Rights and competed on Mock Trial and Moot Court. He graduated cum laude in Finance from the University of Houston.
“We were immediately impressed with Omid’s credentials and know he will complement our growing team in the Houston office,” says Houston Member Adam Russ.
