Pipeline, Storage and Transmission

Carriers and shippers seek our advice on issues concerning pipelines and the gathering, transmission and storage of oil, gas and other hydrocarbons.  Our energy lawyers represent clients in:

  • The purchase, lease or sale of pipeline or storage assets
  • Transportation, storage and dedication agreements
  • Pipeline construction and interconnection agreements
  • Right-of-way and crossing agreements with both private landowners and public entities
  • Permitting from the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement for rights of way and rights of use on the Outer Continental Shelf and from the Louisiana Office of State Lands for rights of way across Louisiana state lands
  • Permitting from the Louisiana Office of Conservation, the United States Army Corps of Engineers and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality for underground storage facilities
  • Regulated and non-jurisdictional transportation and storage tariffs

Our energy lawyers worked with the Louisiana Public Service Commission in developing its first published general order for common carrier petroleum carriers, and we are proud of our experience with pipeline, storage and transmission issues.
